As a new user on ConnexMatch we're sure you've got a few questions. We've created this page to provide you with answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions by our Providers and Customers.

Once you’ve provided all the necessary information and documentation and have been approved as a Service Provider/Caregiver on ConnexMatch, the next step is to setup your profile. In order to create the best possible profile which will help you find and impress your clients please do the following:

  1. Navigate to your profile (hover over your name in the top right-hand corner of this page)
  2. Manage Your Profile! Add an Introduction to yourself, Select the Categories of Service you wish to provide, Add your basic information (including Healthcare Experience, Location, Languages Spoken, Insurance (if applicable) and Qualifications.
  3. Manage your Appointments by creating a schedule. Create time slots when you wish to provide services. Enter a Title(e.g. Mondays), Start Time, End Time, Session Length (e.g. 1 hour), A Break Time (handy for traveling between appointments) and the number of slots (typically 1 for service providers). Note that when you create your schedule, you commit to all appointments.
  4. Once you’ve created your time slots, add your appointment settings. Add your Terms and Conditions which must be agreed to by clients (we’ve provided a recommended sample in the next FAQ item).
  5. Setup your Appointment Types (e.g. New Appointment, Follow Up and Other)
  6. Setup your Reasons for Visit (e.g. Urgent Task, General Visit, Consultation)
  7. Leave Email Settings as Default.
  8. Manage Your Services. Add the services you provide, by giving each a Title, Price, Price Type (e.g. Per Hour or Per Visit) and a Description. Ensure you select Add This Service in Appointment List.
  9. Finally, go to Earnings/Payments and update your Interac information which will be used for all outgoing payments.
Yes! We certainly do. While we encourage our Service Providers to take ownership of their own Terms & Conditions, we understand that it can be a bit daunting for some to create such an agreement. Don’t worry we’ve got you covered. Simply edit your profile to copy and paste the text below into your Manage Appointments > Appointment Settings
  1. Authorization of service(s), to be performed by Caregiver: I authorize INSERT YOUR NAME HERE to collect and record my personal information for the purpose of supporting my request for healthcare service(s), through the ConnexMatch portal. I understand my personal information will be protected in accordance with privacy legislations, and I can access my personal information at any time. Every attempt shall be made to protect the data provided; however, no guarantees can be made, given unforeseen circumstances may arise.
  2. Consent of healthcare services: I agree to allow ConnexHealth to share details of the information collected with applicable healthcare and law authority agencies, for the purpose and benefit of providing care and compliance with laws. I shall furnish the client with the services specified within their contract via the ConnexHealth portal.
  3. Agreement to overall Terms and Agreements: The Healthcare provider and myself (the client) both understand and have agreed to the overall Terms of Use and Terms of Agreements as acknowledged via the ConnexHealth portal and/or affiliate website(s).

Complete the service completion form on the dashboard after the service has been rendered.

Clients will be charged your Service Fee plus 5% Service Charge and HST. Payments will be made to you once a month via Interac. Payments will include All Service Fees collected on your behalf less 10% ConnexMatch Commission +HST. 

If you have not updated your account with your Interac details please do so before the next payment period by clicking the Earnings/Payments link in your dashboard. Please provide a valid Interac email address.

ConnexMatch is a portal where people who require in-home or community care can search for and connect directly with nurses, personal support workers, physiotherapist and other support workers in their area.

Whether you’re looking for round-the-clock care, overnight respite, daily assistance, or just weekly drop-ins, on ConnexMatch, you can find the highest quality workers fast and easily.

Care Providers can create their own profile on ConnexMatch that outlines their experience, qualifications, availability, hourly rates and interests. You can then easily search, compare and choose the right care worker for you.

ConnexMatch does not provide the care, and we do not employ the workers on our platform. We offer a new model in community and home care that allows you to choose and directly hire the people who will be coming into your home to provide care and support.
By hiring directly, you can afford more hours of care, while care workers have the potential to earn more, and you can both benefit by building long-term relationships.

Signing up to ConnexMatch is free for the clients and the care providers pay $ 29.00 per month for a basic membership and $290.00 per annum membership. Care workers on the platform can set their own hourly rates, which are displayed on their profile. You can agree to the rate and schedule with each individual care worker before engaging them.
ConnexMatch enables consumers and independent workers to agree a rate between themselves. The consumer then pays this agreed rate plus 5%, while the independent worker receives the agreed rate less 10%.
No fees are charged until a client hires a care worker. Care providers can request the payment once the services are delivered. All payments are made online and can be easily tracked via reports on your dashboard.

Safety of those in our community is our priority. All care providers using the ConnexMatch platform undergo a strict on-boarding process, including reference and qualification checks, police checks and verification of any specific requirements for nurses and other care professionals providing personal care.
All of the workers on the ConnexMatch platform have comprehensive insurances arranged on their behalf.

Workers on our platform will list their services on their profile.

These can include:
Nursing Services such as wound care, diabetes care, catheter care, medication management, continence management, bowel and bladder management or case management. Personal Support Workers services such as showering, dressing, toileting and grooming, manual transfer, assistance with medication, dementia, palliative and disability care. Social Support and Domestic Assistance such as companionship, meal preparation, cleaning and laundry, light housework, gardening or basic home maintenance. Therapy Support offered by professional care providers such as Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Pathologist.

The portal also provides information about businesses and other professionals in the community that can assist you.

ConnexMatch collects payments from you on behalf of your professional care providers.

Credit/Debit Card: This is the most common method of payment and can be set up online. After you find the independent care providers that you would want to hire, the rate and hours; you will be directed to make payment.  Payment includes rate plus 5% will be charged to your nominated credit card.

Go to the care provider login page to sign up for and start completing your ConnexMatch profile.
To be ‘live’ on our platform you will need to complete our registration process and provide us with a current vulnerable police check, references, and necessary qualifications. Once this is done, a member of our team will connect with you either via phone or email to activate your account.

Our fees enable us to continue to grow the ConnexMatch community and deliver innovative technology and solutions for the benefit of clients and care providers using our platform. We have made every effort to ensure our fees are reasonable for the services we offer.
Scheduling care and making payment through the ConnexMatch platform ensures there is a transparent record of all care delivered and payments made. Importantly, care providers are not covered by the insurance policies arranged on their behalf by ConnexMatch for care delivered outside the ConnexMatch platform. If a care provider or client arranges payment outside the platform their account may be deactivated, and they could face penalties. For further details see our Terms of Use.
